THE RACE FACE AEFFECT
There’s not much more that can be said about Canadian component brand Race Face which hasn’t already been written in glowing tests or product reviews. Once again the legendary British Columbia based manufacturer has smashed it out of the bike park with their performance portfolio of products which lead the way in nearly every possible MTB discipline from XC to World Cup DH. The team at Race Face are never ones to simply sit on the side lines or remain on the chairlift though so 2016 is going to be even bigger once again.
Proven to be some of the best engineered and bombproof components in their categories Race Face know their riders wouldn’t except anything less. With quality and performance running throughout their product range, riders will benefit from decades of manufacturing experience and thousands of miles of testing knowledge on all the key areas of the bike from grips, stems and bars to cranks, pedals and chainrings topped off by the all new Turbine dropper seatpost.
Race Face were one of the first brands to offer such an extensive range of 35mm cockpit components and for 2016 they have introduced even more products featuring the wider bar diameter format meaning ever more riders can benefit from this lighter, yet stronger performance system. Added to the line up for 2016 are new stems and bars from both the Chester and Aeffect ranges. It isn’t just the 35mm bar area where Race Face have focused most of their attention though as the Aeffect range now has a set of SL wheels to go alongside the current Aeffect wheelset. With a selection of wider rim diameters for trail and enduro riders and a quick engaging hub these new wheels be able to take the rough with the smooth.
Following on from multiple crank test wins and media awards the new Atlas and Aeffect cranks tick all the right boxes when it comes to strength to weight ratio. Constructed around the Cinch system which has been so well accepted on the Carbon Fibre cranksets, both cranks benefit from 30mm axle diameters and offer amazing flexibility when it comes to ring choices.
Of course it’s not just your bike that gets to benefit from Race Face’s expertise. The 2016 soft goods range is Canadian tough but Camden stylish with a wardrobe that extends from D30 protection to flawlessly functional and effortlessly good looking casual and bike wear.
