Lightweight, high-strength, power assist bar with great feel but at a high cost Race Face's SixC carbon bar is an impressively tough yet light option, if you can afford it. The composite construction uses reinforced tips to handle lock-on grips or the occasional drop without getting damaged, although we'd recommend using end plugs.

The raised centre section logo adds grip and angle/sideways adjustment accuracy. Cut marks on the tips show how much you're removing in span and grams, though most users will probably want to keep them full width. At just under 730mm, the SixC is in the high leverage, power-assisted steering category.

It's stiff enough to capitalise on bolt-through forks and other accuracy enhancements. Race Face bars have long been our benchmark for a great natural feel and our testers felt at home with it straight away. While weight savings on alloy equivalents are over 50g you'll pay 50 percent more for the privilege.
