Review website mybikestand.com test the THE Industries T2 helmet 5 out of 5.

THE Industries latest offering in a totally new design-the T2 full face helmet. So fashion is everything right? Not unless it comes without new innovation and better performance! At least that's the way most sports enthusiast think. As much as we like to look good it's gotta perform first, otherwise it's just another paperweight. So as I promised I got my hands on the new T2 helmet and glad it's gonna replace the last helmet I was using. At just over …….. grams its light and fits well. The reduced silhouette worked well with our new Ryders Shore goggles and it also felt balanced. The 17 vents that grace THE's new T2 worked a bit better than some other high end full face helmets I have used in the past. Most times you are lucky you even feel they are working, however I swear I could feel a breeze from time to time inside the helmet. When riding here in the desert anything helps. I am sure once summer time hits we will appreciate that extra little ventilation. One thing that could be a "you love it or you hate it" issue is the semi-integrated visor due to its fixed location. 4 bolts hold it in place, one place that is. Some may want to move the visor either up or down, however I liked it the way it was. So for me I was good with the visor location. The bonus is it comes with a extra matching one for that once in a lifetime crash that destroys your helmets visor but spares the helmet! Speaking of bonuses, one thing I was surprised with was the cordura nylon helmet bag. Not one of those cheap cinch bags but a zippered, handled helmet bag blessed with the THE logo! The helmets inside materials are top notch with suede and leather features and a comfortable padset that is removable for washing. Little details like a custom logo embroidered into the forehead padding and embossed on the inside suede along with custom stitching on the back neck. A simple D ring chin strap with a button to take up the slack keeps the T2 securely on while riding.

At just over 1,100 grams, the new T2 Composite helmet is lightweight yet super strong. A completely new helmet designed from the ground up, the super-stylish T2 has a reduced silhouette, semi-integrated visor, 17 cooling vents and comes with an extra colour-matched visor and durable Cordura nylon helmet bag. It's available in four graphics options and at a price of $229 for the composite it's an awesome helmet! With all this helmet offers and the quality it deserves and honestly earns that 5 star rating!

I have had the opportunity to use this helmet for the last few races as well as some shakedown runs on some upcoming reviews for other products. I couldn't be more pleased with the fit. The helmet has held up better than expected in terms of general paint chips and scratches as compared to the helmet it replaced. The T2 worked well with the LEATT brace. About the only thing I can think to really improve upon the composite T2 is a carbon T2!
