With only a short while to go until the 2014 Yeti Tribe gathering rolls into Cannock Chase and everyone is starting to get very excited here at tribe HQ. With three organised rides planned for tribe members to take part in, all led by local guides Chase Skills, retro bikes on display, the Yeti Factory team dropping by and a range of demo bikes available to ride we're sure you will have a good time. Not only that but for those of you who signed up nice and early you will also get to pick up a special 'tribe' t-shirt as well.

Thank you to all those tribe member who have registered to take part and join us on one of our organised rides with Chase Skills around the local area and the rides are now full.

9:30 till 18:00 Saturday 14th June 2014

9:30 till 14:00 Sunday 15th June 2014

Tribe Rides Session

Saturday

10:30 - 2.5 hours of riding within the Cannock Chase Woodlands - starting and finishing at the Tackeroo Campsite

15:00 - 1.5 hours of riding with the Cannock Chase Woodlands - starting and finishing at the Tackeroo Campsite

Sunday

10:30 - 2.5 hours lead ride around the local trail network taking in the Follow The Dog and Monkey trails

All participants must be over the age of 18 or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian

Helmets must be worn at all times

All participants must sign 'out' before taking part in a ride session and sign 'in' on their return

Rides will depart on time so please ensure you are ready in good time. If you have registered to ride but now can no longer attend please let us know so others can enjoy the ride.

Registration for ride sessions will open 1 hour before ride is due to depart.

Before The Event

Important - Please make sure you have read the attached Terms and Conditions of the 2014 Yeti Cycles UK Tribe Meeting before the event.

You must ensure your bike is in good mechanical order and, if in doubt take it to a reputable cycle shop to be checked before the event.

On Arrival

When you arrive on site please head over to the main tribe area to register and pick up some goodies.

Camping

The Tackeroo Caravan Site is a class B site which offers running water but no showers or electrical hook-up. You are welcome to bring tents, caravans, campervans and vans at a cost of £10 per pitch per night payable to the Forestry Commission via the registration tent.

The site is open for camping on both the Friday and Saturday night.

Toilets

Tribe toilets have been rented and will be on site all weekend for your use ;-).

Food

There is no catering on site and you must provide your own food however Saturday night will see Silverfish UK offering Pizza and refreshment in the main tent at 19:30 to tribe riders and the area offers two café's nearby located at the Cannock Chase Visitors Centre (Marquis Drive) and Birches Valley Forest Centre.

Sunday breakfast - The Cannock Chase Visitors Centre (Marquis Drive) will be open from 9:30 for tribe riders to pick up breakfast before the ride heads out.

2014 Yeti Tribe Event and Demo - Terms and Conditions

All participants must wear an appropriate cycle helmet during the event.

Protective eyewear, gloves, elbow and knee pads are strongly advised.

All participants must be over the age of 18 or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

All participants must take account of the weather conditions which may be encountered during the event - be prepared for all conditions and carry equipment with you should it change during the event/ride.

You must be a competent cyclist and confident in your ability to complete an off-road group ride on technical terrain.

All participants must cycle within their own levels abilities at all times.

Participants should carry emergency items such as food, clothing and waterproofs.

Please make note of your start and finish point before the ride session starts and carry a trail map at all times as well as whistle.

Participants must be able to ride as part of a group and follow directions given to them by the qualified mountain bike leaders.

You must ensure your bike is in good mechanical order and, if in doubt take it to a reputable cycle shop to be checked before the event.

Silverfish, Yeti Cycles, the Forestry Commission and their representative accept no liability for loss or damage to personal property during or after the event.

Your cycle must be safe to ride and use off-road and have working brakes, gears, steering and handlebar end plugs.

You should carry a working and charged mobile phone and provide the number at registration.

You must sign ‘out’ before and back ‘in’ after each ride which you participate in.

You must remain part of the group during the session.

You must obey all instructions given to you by ride guides.

Take extra care when crossing roads or other trails as an individual or part of a group.

You must follow the country code and be careful of other trail users at all times.

We highly recommend that you have your own personal injury cover.

You must carry all spares and tools needed to complete an off-road ride including inner tubes, pump and other items and be able to use them.

You must carry your own personal water and food during the session and be prepared for all weather conditions which maybe encountered.

If you have need to carry any medicine or have any medical conditions you must alert staff and ride guides before the session starts.

Participants must be physically fit and be capable of participating in an off-road mountain bike ride on technical terrain.

Do not litter on the trail or event site.

The tribe site and ride is a no smoking area.

The tribe is not a race and no times will be given.

Camping on site is done so entirely at your own risk.
