Overview

Our LG1 dual-ply downhill tyres have finally made it to market and are well-worth the wait. Carrying over the same tread that made our TRS tyres a cult classic, our LG1 tyres offer a stable, supportive casing, and excellent puncture protection at a surprising weight.

Our LG1 tyres carry over the same tread pattern as the TRS tyres, and also use tapered Apex inserts, which dramatically improve grip under cornering and braking, decrease rolling resistance, and dramatically increase the tyre's puncture resistance.

On Race tyres, there's an added a layer of woven aramid reinforcement that not only maximizes air retention, but better protects against sidewall cuts and punctures.

Both Race and Plus tyres use a slow rebound, tacky rubber throughout the tyre, but the Race version uses high-tack rubber on the side knobs to maximize cornering and off camber grip.

FAQ

How to install TRS tyres

What does "reinforced" mean?

TRS tires feature a reinforced tread for maximum durability at a competitive weight. This is a special layer under the tread of the tyre that increases puncture and tear resistance.

Can I use TRS tyres with a tube?

Absolutely. While they are tubeless compatible they can still be used with a tube.

What do you mean by "tubeless compatible" on TRS tyres?

Our tyres are not a true UST tubeless tyre. This means that you will need a tubeless compatible rim and tire sealant in order for the tyre to function properly without a tube.

What rim widths do TRS tyres they work on?

TRS Tyres will work best on rims wdiths from 24-31mm.

What sealant is ok to use with TRS tyres?

While we are partial to our own sealant, TRS tyres are compatible with other tubeless sealants on the market such and Stans, Slime and Orange Seal.

What is the maximum tire pressure for TRS tyres?

Maximum pressure is 50PSI (3.5BAR).

What are the durometers of TRS tyres?

Please keep in mind that durometer is only part of the story with tyres. We can use the stickiest rubber in the world, but it is completely useless if the knobs roll over or aren't shaped the right way.

With that in mind:

  • Race level durometer - 40A SIDE / 42A CENTER / 72A BASE
  • Plus level durometer - 50A / 61A CENTER
