Brett Tippie shot to fame as part of the legendary Fro Riders team who in the mid-nineties brought 'freeriding' to the world. A long-time member of the Race Face family Brett has seen it all in mountain biking so Bike Magazine sat him down and asked him some questions.

Over 20 years ago Brett Tippie, Wade Simmons and Richie Schley spent their days heading out to the hills around Kamloops to tackle drops that even by today's standards are off the chart. Without knowing they had created 'freeriding' an element of mountain biking which would see it propelled into the main stream media and put British Columbia on the map as a cycling mecca. But it hasn't all been laughing with friends as Bike Magazine found out when they put him in front of the camera.
