Given Kashima is supposed to reduce friction in suspension, putting it on a brake rotor may sound silly. But Galfer did exactly that for one of their motorcycle athletes and are doing the same for MTB. The Kashima doesn't affect the braking surface of course - just the inner part of a new two-piece rotor, called the Shark EVO V3.
Galfer makes rotors, pads and mounting hardware for mountain, road and gravel bikes. On their EU website they list 36 different rotors and on their US website there are 86 different brake pads.
Earlier this year I welcomed a Trek Fuel EX8 into the shed as a long term test bike. Having thoroughly enjoyed my time aboard the Trek Fuel EX 9.9 AXS model last year, I knew it was a platform that deserved a lot more trail time.
Known primarily for their aftermarket pads and rotors, it appears the Spanish brand Galfer is now working on a full brake system. They teased the project at Milan's EICMA motorcycle exhibition earlier this month, with a fairly polished product on display in their booth.
