Yeti has a brand new e-bike out and we’ve been riding it. The latest MTE is a mid-power, mid-travel e-bike with the brand new TQ HPR60 motor. Still super light, ultra quiet, and totally discreet, TQ’s new motor gets more torque (60Nm), extra power (350w), and a bigger battery (580Wh). There’s also a colour display and an upgraded app. 

Freehub's Gear Editor, Cy Whitling, talks and rides Yeti's new MTe. While it cuts a fairly clean silhouette, it’s got a lot going on under the hood, including an all-new TQ motor, four-way progression adjustment, mixed wheel capability, and more.

This is one of those bikes where it’s very easy to get lost in the minutia, and focus on the details at the expense of the ride quality. So before we get into the nitty gritty: The MTe rides really well. It’s a very fun bike that can handle a wide range of terrain, and the new TQ HPR 60 drive unit is a noticeable upgrade over the old HPR 50 system.

What’s up, legend riders! In today’s ride, we’re diving deep into the brand-new TQ-HPR60 motor, tested on the stunning and lightweight Yeti MTe SL e-MTB. This is my first time on a Yeti electric mountain bike, and wow—what a machine. Minimalist design, big performance.
