Yeti has just released the SB120. As the name suggests, it’s a 120mm-travel trail bike that features the revised Switch Infinity suspension link system as seen on the new SB160.

Yeti might not say the D word in its description of the new Yeti SB120 – it actually makes something of A Thing out of deliberately NOT saying it in fact – but this is a Down Country bike.

The SB120 is a brand new entry into Yeti's lineup, a short-travel trail bike that's billed as 'definition ready'. In other words, you can call it whatever you want, just as long as the name's fitting for a 29” wheeled bike with 120mm of travel and a 130mm fork. Upduro? All-country? The world is your oyster.
 

As the name suggests, this mountain bike has 120mm of rear-wheel travel, but don’t mention ‘downcountry‘ in its presence – with 130mm forks and a relatively burly build, it’s very much a short-travel trail bike.

Similar to picking an enduro bike over a downhill rig for a day at the bikepark to make things a little more exciting, the new, 2023 Yeti SB120 can provide that same feeling for local trails. More playful than its longer travel siblings with an efficient geometry, the SB120 is a bike that feels as much at home out on an epic backcountry trip as it would railing a slalom track.

Pimped out and redefined, the Yeti SB120 T3 drifts into the 2023 season with more travel, several exciting updates and Yeti’s distinctive high-end look. We jumped on a plane to Colorado and found out whether the new SB120 shares the same rocket-fuelled genes as its predecessor.

This latest Yeti benefits from some features that we are stoked to see such as the threaded bottom bracket, integrated cable management, SRAM's universal derailleur hanger and of course fully modernized geometry and frame design.
