Review: MBUK - 100% Ridecamp Knee Pads

MBUK has been testing the 100% Ridecamp Knee pads. Read what they had to say below:
These lightweight knee guards (don't expect full-on pads) from 100% offer plenty of comfort and some protection, but they're not quite perfect. A lack of pre-shaping means the padding sits very flat on the knee. The stretchy neoprene sleeve does help to pull it tight, but we found it still flares at the sides when the knee is flexed, and can shift around a bit.
Another niggle is the lower opening, which sits across the middle of your calf muscle. We found that pushing it up over the top of the calf made the pad stay put better and improved comfort. While the padding covers the front of the knee and top of the shin, it affords little lateral protection. The pads aren't burly enough to protect against big knocks, but will help with scuffs and scrapes, should you hit the deck.
The low weight and flexability mean they're good for long trail rides.
3 out of 5 stars.
