ARMEGA SP25
Open Cycle Wide Frame & U-Turn Fork

Monster Tyres, Nimble Ride.
The WI.DE. (Winding Detours) targets bigger tyres than the U.P. without compromising speed.
Thanks to its efficient rider position, the WI.DE. is deceptively fast on-road despite the big tyres. This always surprises first-time WI.DE. riders. So great fun on-road and no limits off-road.
Equally important is the handling. The WI.DE. retains its agility with anything from massive mountain tires to road tyres. Trigonometry helps us a bit here, as the trail automatically grows together with the tyre size, just like you want for tougher terrain.
What is the WI.DE.?

1. With 650b gravel or 27.5" mountain bike tyres up to 2.4”(61mm), rutted singletrack, slippery roots and rocks disappear.

2. With 700c gravel tyres up to 46mm, even the toughest gravel roads are tackled at lightning speed

3. Assembled with 700c road tyres (we recommend 35-40mm wide), you have the most comfortable road bike ever invented.

Double-Dropped Chainstay.
The U.P.'s dropped right chainstay launched a whole category of bikes. The WI.DE. doubles up.
The double-drop chainstays create a very efficient box-shape behind the BB. This increases stiffness, reduces weight and boosts tyre clearance.
Tyre Clearance.
Fitting the biggest tyre into a bike with road geometry is our favorite puzzle!

The WI.DE. maximizes tyre clearance with its double-drop chainstays and a front-derailleur-free frame design for 1x or 2x setups. Using 1x cranks, there is no inner ring or front derailleur to limit tyre clearance. You can either run that as a classic 1x setup as most of our customers do. Or you can go 2x using the Classified system: light, fast, very efficient and clean.

As a result, the WI.DE. comfortably accepts up to 2.4” (61mm) tyres in 650b (or 46mm on 700c wheels). Actual tyre width depends on tyre model and rim width, so measure instead of relying on the tyre label.
TRCinTRS™ Technology
So many marketing claims about carbon. But the truth is quite simple.

Every bike company has access to the same carbon (volume is too small for custom or exclusive). So all these different names for proprietary carbon are just that, names.

What matters is that high-modulus carbon is more brittle than low-modulus. So in areas where strength is important, high-modulus is the wrong choice.

The best lay-up is a blend. We strategically place the ultra-high modulus (very stiff) carbon where we can, and tougher grades of carbon where we must. That’s how our frames are both light and durable.
U–Turn.
The U-Turn has tyre clearance in abundance. It’s also very light, thanks to another OPEN innovation: Smart-Mount.

Standard, the bike industry uses four bolts plus an adaptor to attach the brake caliper to the fork. This allows for flipping between 140mm and 160mm rotors.
However, SRAM and Shimano both always recommend 160mm for the front, so we remove the adaptor and two bolts to attach the caliper directly onto the fork for that rotor size.

This makes the setup lighter, stiffer, safer. (Check the Specifications for the correct bolt lengths for each setup.)
This design also cleans up the U-Turn fork legs and allows us to make a very light structure with very tunable stiffness and strength.
"Stuff Carrying Capability”.
Extra bottle under the downtube and a toolbox under the BB. Ready for every Winding Detour.

The tool box mounts are off-center to create extra clearance to the chainring. If you don’t use a toolbox, you can mount a larger water bottle under the downtube.

The WI.DE. is also designed to take a (strapless) toptube bag as well as saddle, handlebar and frame bags for longer high-speed adventures.
Design is in the details

Wire-Stays: Vertically thin chainstays and seatstays provide compliance, while their lateral width and layup ensure rock-solid propulsion. Truly the best of both worlds.

Flat-Out Downtube: The downtube drives stiffness, connecting your steering center to your drivetrain. The flat sides places strips of ultra-high modulus carbon where it matters most.

Zero-Setback Seattube: A zero-offset seatpost is lighter & more efficient, so we have designed our seattube angle such that most riders can use a zero-offset rather than an off-set seatpost.

Internal Routing: Internal cables & hoses through the frame stay clean & protected and frankly, they look better. In the cockpit they are exposed for easy maintenance and travel.

Thruthread Dropouts: Lock bolt secures the hanger in the frame using the same threads that secure the thru axle on the other side. Simpler, lighter & optimized for the stiffest thru-axle: Syntace X-12.

Smart-Mount 160: The brake caliper attaches directly to the frame, positioned for 160mm discs. Just like on the U-Turn fork. No adaptors or spacers and extra hardware required. Lighter, stiffer, safer.
