Review: Cycling Electric - 100% Trajecta Helmet

BikeRadarhas reviewed the 100% Trajecta Helmet. Here is what they had to say:
At first, getting the 100% Trajecta out of the box, it was clear that this helmet was designed to help you get downhill fast – the 100% Trajecta was tested by Cycling Electric staff writer Myles Warwood and was used on various mountain bike rides. In the testing, almost all was covered off, apart from a crash test, as I was fortunate enough not to fall off and to have to test the helmet out in this capacity.

The 100% Trajecta on review is true to what it says. It’s lightweight and breathable, and I found it comfortable. But it must be noted that this is a serious downhill helmet. I didn’t feel as if there was much padding in there. Even so, I never found it rubbing or uncomfortable while wearing it. When riding, I felt safe in the helmet. There were no distinct rattles or vibrations through the visor or the helmet.
This is an Enduro helmet through and through. It is made for downhill riding, not something you’d use for technical uphill riding on an MTB course. That’s something which is backed up with its Downhill certification.

You could also say that this high level of protection from the Smartshock system is entirely focussed on allowing you to go downhill fast. The Smartshock works similarly to what MIPS does. If you’ve never heard of MIPS, it’s a multi-directional impact protection system that has become the industry standard, protecting your brain from rotational forces when in a crash. The 100% Smartshock system has 13 rubberised concertina-shaped points, which compress and twist to help absorb energy in a collision.
Final Verdict
I think the 100% Trajecta on review is a great helmet. It provides high levels of safety, is lightweight, and is breathable. It does have its downsides, but these are rectified by its performance. It provides a rock-solid fit while riding, inspiring confidence on the downhill and allowing you to get on with what you want to: riding your bike downhill fast.
