What’s your name?
Antonio Fiore

How long have you been with Silverfish?
Close to 10 years now.

What is your job?
Sales Support Manager/ Office Bike Nerd

What type of riding do you do?
Mountain Biking through and through. I guess I fall into the ‘enduro’ category as I put the miles and climbs in purely for the fun of hitting the descents, but in reality, I like it all.

What’s your favourite trail?
Tough question, as that can change a lot. My local trails  have to be up there as my go to favourites, nothing beats being able to ride from your front door.
However, to make this more interesting I’d have to say the highlight trail from 2022 for me was ‘RonDuro’ up at Risca, South Wales. The trail length and how the trail changes throughout the descent all add up to one real good mix. Plus, it finishes at a pub!

What made you pick this bike?
Must not say “the colour…” but, in all fairness, that Sangria colour is a stunner.
If I am being honest, on what I ride nowadays due to #dadlife and the reduced amount of free time I have, the new 140 suits me better.
I’m really pleased with the geometry tweaks Yeti have introduced for MY23 too, such as the size specific rear centres, which is something I've certainly been looking for when riding an XL sized bike.
I do love the big travel rigs like the SB160 but I don’t have the time currently to take it away to locations where it is really required. This aggressive SB140 build should really bridge the gap between a SB150 and SB130LR I have owned in the past and be capable on pretty much everything!

Have you changed/added anything to your bike to suit your riding style?
I’m a very particular person, so everything is in its place or setup the way it is for a reason.
I’m tall, so I have a high front end with 50mm rise bars and spacers, and then pair this with a crazy high saddle height is usually enough to have people commenting…
The build is quite aggressive with DH brakes, coil shock etc. It is built to be super reliable so you can get out and ride it no matter what and with absolutely no worries about any componentry failure, minimising any reduction in riding time.
I am a fan of how coil shocks feel and loved how my old SB150 rode with one fitted, so decided to bolt one on straight away for this bike. I opted for the FOX DHX over the DHX2 as I felt it would suit the bike better being more of a trail bike coil shock as opposed to a DH weapon.
Not obvious at first glance, but the fork is actually set to 170mm travel too, rather than the Lunch Ride spec 160mm. The reality is a firmer 160mm fork at vs a slightly softer 170mm fork isn’t that different when in its dynamic riding setup.
