Lots of love for AC/DC at Bike Park Wales, it has a bit of everything all in one track.

What made you pick this bike?

I was fortunate to have some time with the new bikes when I visited press during their launch. I was blown away by the way the SB140 rode, especially when compared to my existing SB150. It is a bit lighter, but just as capable. For riding round my local trails, the smaller travel and lighter weight suited me a bit more.

Have you changed/added anything to your bike to suit your riding style?

I fitted a coil shock on and that’s about it. I used to service and tune suspension so have always loved coil shocks, fortunately the SB140 can take both so I thought “why not?”. The small bump patter is incredible and riding flat, or banked turns feels great. The SLS spring keeps the weight down, but overall it did add a bit more weight over the Float X.
